Two problems, and this pairing answers both. A polished ruler under a headlamp throws light back at you – so the ring is the grey EndoRing® II with the laser-etched reduced-glare black ruler, which Jordco make specifically to cut head lamp glare when you are working through surgical telescopes. And ordinary foam shreds when a file is still turning – so the inserts are e-Foam® Rotary HD, dense enough that a rotating file in a handpiece goes straight in to clear the flutes without tearing the foam.

Why buy the two together?
Because they answer the same working style. If you are running rotary under magnification, the glare and the foam are the two things that get in the way, and this pairing deals with both. Either part can be bought separately if you only have one of the problems.

Can I use hand files with it?
Of course – the ring is the same EndoRing® II. If most of your work is hand files, the standard e-Foam® is the insert to reorder – both foams are processed the same way, so it is only the density you are choosing.
